Booking a wedding photographer is a one-take decision — there's no reshoot day. These are the questions worth asking before you commit, grouped by what actually matters on the day and after it.
Why This List Matters
A wedding photographer is one of the only vendors whose work you can't redo if something goes wrong — asking these questions upfront protects the day, not just the budget.
The 15 Questions
- Experience: How many weddings have you photographed in Zimbabwe?
- Style: Can I see a full gallery from a recent wedding, not just a highlights reel?
- Availability: Are you the one shooting, or will it be a different photographer on the day?
- Coverage: How many hours are included, and can that be extended?
- Second shooter: Is a second photographer available for larger weddings?
- Roora: Do you offer combined wedding-and-traditional-ceremony packages?
- Deliverables: How many edited images will I receive?
- Turnaround: When will I receive the final gallery?
- Selection: Do I choose the final images, or does the photographer?
- Album: Is a printed album included, or an add-on?
- Video: Is a highlight film available, and at what tier?
- Drone: Is aerial coverage available for the venue?
- Deposit: What deposit is required, and what's the cancellation policy?
- Travel: Is travel included if the venue is outside Harare?
- Backup: What happens if there's an equipment issue on the day?
